Omaha, NE — A global equipment manufacturer says it’s transitioning some production of combines for Canada out of the U.S. due to the impact of tariffs.
In a statement to Brownfield, CLAAS says its moving production of the 2026 Lexion 8000 series to Germany due to an increase in costs and trade uncertainty. The company says the change will allow them to remain competitive in the Canadian market.
The company says all combines built for U.S. farmers will continue to be assembled in its North American headquarters in Omaha, Nebraska. CLAAS says parts are being sourced from the U.S. and its prices will remain stable until the end of the year despite the tariffs.
