U.S ethanol exports remain on pace to shatter annual records.
The Renewable Fuels Association says ethanol exports during August were up 15% from July and 24% from August 2024 at 188.8 million gallons, as Canada and the European Union claimed almost two thirds of the monthly total.
Colombia, India, and the United Kingdom rounded out the top five.
That brings the 2025 to date total to 1.42 billion gallons, 16% ahead of 2024.
Exports of distillers dried grains with solubles were 1.2 million tons, an increase of 10% on the month, with Mexico taking the top slot, and all-time highs for movement to Colombia, Honduras, and New Zealand.
DDGS exports this year are 4% behind last year at 7.64 million tons.
The September numbers are out in early December as the U.S. Census Bureau continues to update statistics after the partial shutdown of the federal government.
