We are pleased to share our 2023 Impact Report, which highlights Farm Journal Foundation’s successes and milestones for the year. 2023 represented a truly breakout year for the Foundation, with many of our programs coming into their own. We also kicked off new initiatives that will shape our strategy for years to come.

Highlights include:

Driving Climate Discussions at COP28

Farm Journal Foundation was on the ground at COP28 in Dubai, hosting key discussions about the links between climate change, hunger, malnutrition, and global stability.

Taking Food Security Messages to the Road

We held a summer roadshow with events with members of Congress in five states, showcasing research taking place at universities and innovations on the farm.

Building a Stronger Veterinary Workforce

We developed new educational platforms to support students on their veterinary career paths, and continued to educate leaders about the U.S. rural veterinary shortage and its impact on our food system.

Teaching Students About Agriculture

We launched a new Voice of the Farmer Garden at the New York State Fair to teach consumers about their food’s origin. We are also continuing to develop standards-based curriculum for K-12 students.

Publishing Groundbreaking Research

We commissioned leading research papers on food security, national security, and the global “polycrisis” – sparking numerous discussions about how to ensure global food systems can work for everyone.
