Kansas City, Mo. – Secretary of Agriculture Brooke Rollins and Sen. Roger Marshall, M.D., of Kansas will kick off this week’s Top Producer Summit in Kansas City. The event is among the secretary’s first public appearances since being confirmed Feb. 13.

Rollins, originally from Glen Rose, Texas, serves as the 33rd Secretary of Agriculture. Most recently, she was founder, president and CEO of the America First Policy Institute. During President Donald Trump’s first administration, she was the director of the Domestic Policy Council and assistant to the President for Strategic Initiatives in the White House. She also previously served as director of the Office of American Innovation.
Sen. Marshall is a physician and U.S. Senator for Kansas. As a fifth-generation farmer from Butler County, Sen. Marshall became the first in his family to attend college. In the Senate, he serves on the Committee on Agriculture, Nutrition, and Forestry. He is the chairman of the Subcommittee on Conservation, Climate, Forestry, and Natural Resources and a member of the Subcommittee on Food and Nutrition, Specialty Crops, Organics, and Research.
